Daily Finger Lakes coronavirus update

Posted on March 17, 2020

Finger Lakes Television, the public access station at Spectrum cable channel 1304, will begin broadcasting state and local coronavirus information, with some live segments, from 9 to 11 a.m. weekdays beginning Thursday, March 19.

Ontario County Public Health will give a live update daily at 10 a.m.

Representatives of local hospitals, other public health agencies and the cities of Canandaigua and Geneva may also give periodic live updates.

Other governments and nonprofits may submit written information regarding their COVID-19 responses to communityaffairs@flcc.edu.

Finger Lakes TV is available to 65,000 homes largely in Ontario and Wayne counties, northern Seneca County and part of Cayuga County. All content is simultaneously live streamed at fingerlakestv.org/live so those without cable can watch the same coverage in real time. The station is based at the Finger Lakes Community College main campus.

The two-hour broadcast will be recorded and re-broadcast at 9 p.m. each night. The morning broadcast will be livestreamed on the Facebook pages of FLCC and the city of Canandaigua.
